Summary/Abstract: It is 25 years since the Estonian artists and activist Heinz Valk coined the phrase “Singing Revolution” to describe the wave of patriotic gatherings sweeping the country, which then spread to the other Baltic republics. Of all the things that happened during the Singing Revolution, however,it is the singing that is the least remembered.
