Summary/Abstract: In the following article, specific aspects of Venture Capital funds’ functioning – financed from public funds – and their impact on methods used to measure investment objectives are analysed. Author compares the ways of valuation, which ought to be used by Venture Capital funds (according to specialist literature) with the results of empirical research conducted. The research concerns methods of investment objectives’ valuation, used by individual Venture Capital funds, which were operating in Poland between 2008 and 2015, and were financed with public funds.
