Summary/Abstract: In order to understand the concept of Islamic banking, which is conceptually and practically different from the modern banking that we encounter in the western world, it is necessary to understand the basic concepts of Islamic banking. Basic concepts have their roots in the Koran governing all aspects of Muslim life including economics. The aim of this paper is to put some light on these concepts and explain them in detail.
