Geoeconomics of new reality

Summary/Abstract: In connection with the permeation of politics and economy, and for the reasons of an inseparable union of geography and economy there is an urgent need to deal with geoeconomics of individual countries, communities and the global reality, not only geopolitical but just geoeconomic one. Currently, states are giving up traditional instruments of border protection and use more sophisticated methods, which will enable to compete in the geoeconomic space. What matters is persuasion, problematic coalition, convincing and effective competition and organizing promotional campaigns for investment. It seems that individual nations more consciously begin to perceive their geo-conditions and economic possibilities and opportunities. Policy should foster economic development. It should not use economic instruments for manipulation and doing business at the expense of other societies and the lives of people – which example is Ukraine.
