Summary/Abstract: The Slovak Republic entered Euro zone on January 1, 2009. Five years after the Slovak entry of the European Union the country successfully finished not an easy process of integration into European Structures. The contribution brings an overview about phases of Slovak entry into Economic and Monetary Union and it brings information about the Euro implementation period too. In environment of the financial and economic crises Euro brings stability into the Slovak economy.
