Philosophical concepts of religious worldview as inspirations of contemporary theories of religion

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the selected philosophical concepts of religious worldview as a source of inspiration and also some promising solutions to particular problems of contemporary theories of religion. In the article, philosophical concepts of religious worldviews, which were developed by such philosophers as Bergson, Scheler and Dithley, are juxtaposed with contemporary theories of religion from the field of evolutionary psychology. This confrontation argues in favor for the participation of philosophy in the ongoing interdisciplinary research on the phenomenon of religion.
