Summary/Abstract: The sketchy approach towards the Kashubian-Polish West, deals with the issues of cultural presence of the Slavs in today’s north-west part Polish. With specific regard to the analysis carried out here Kashubian nineteenth-century discourse of identity Florian Ceynowa and Hieronim Derdowski. I reach well into the nineteenth century, and years later the ethnic discourse on the example of Polish literary expression of Jan Zachariasiewicz and Eugeniusz Paukszta. Analyses emerging situation awareness and Kashubian Polish reader the presence of Slavs cultural importance of extending between the lower course of the river Vistula and Oder. West belonging to the western borderlands is an area which inhabit different nations, although currently it is primarily Polish cultural space. Differences in many cultural traditions Pomerania is visible primarily on the plane of language and religion.
