Summary/Abstract: Over the recent years, the need to search alternative models in architecture is becoming increasingly apparent, globally and particularly, in certain archetypes. The increasing mobility, informedness and the necessity of a new format of the environment of contemporary individual’s temporary stay gives a sign of exhaustion of the hitherto known models of hotels, regardless of whether a building or a complex, of the scale, location and the intended use. Through grouping the new lines of development with key elements––water, air, ice, towers, ethno, reconstructions, art––a ground for hypotheses of the future development of hotel as architecture, philosophy, a message of concrete historical and geographic affiliation is sought.
