Summary/Abstract: This paper presents sources used in the Polish-Russian Dictionary of Diplomacy (unpublished). Collecting material for the subsequently created word-list is one of the first steps in the dictionary making process. An analysis of previously published dictionaries of diplomacy can be helpful, as can be defining the target group. At all stages, the user’s perspective should be taken into consideration. The Polish-Russian Dictionary of Diplomacy is based on the vocabulary used in bilateral agreements, and contents of the foreign ministry websites of the Republic of Poland and the Russian Federation.
