Summary/Abstract: he paper is an attempt at theoretical and empirical research into a peculiar phenomenon in politics, namely the collapse of a political actor. The paper presents fragments of both quantitative and qualitative sociological research conducted in 2007 as part of my PhD dissertation “The League of Polish Families as a social actor.” The studies address the fundamental question: what were the causes of the collapse of the national-patriotic party, the League of Polish Families in 2007? Undoubtedly, its fall was in uenced not only by the mistakes made within party structures, but also by the lack of intellectual support making the League of Polish Families’ program competitive in relation to other actors of Polish political scene.
