Summary/Abstract: The assessment of changes in temporary society reveals at least a few global trends. Firstly, as a result of economic developments that require professionals with superior knowledge, higher education is becoming more and more popular. Secondly, there is a growing number of international and mixed–faith marriages which may be defined as antagonistic. These trends stem from socio-economic transformations and political advancements, including the growing liberalization around the world and the process of international integration. The outcome of these changes is globalisation, which has recently received considerable interest and which has manifested itself in the growing freedom of choice in the selection of one’s place of living or work. The mixed–faith marriages may be interesting case study especially nowadays, when policy of multiculturalism conducts to many social problems. The paper presents results of quality research (unstructured interviews), which were realized among fourteen Catholic–Islamic mixed–faith families in Lublin. The article concentrates on the problem of everyday life of families, such as: preparing meals, raising children and different religious customs.
