Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the temporal aspects of Jacques Rancière’s political and educational theorization through Pilvi Takala’s interventionist artwork The Trainee (2008). By reading Takala’s presence at the global accounting firm Deloitte as a durative time of learning that both reflects and challenges the ever-blurring boundaries between life and learning in contemporary capitalism, the author argues that Takala’s work can help to further theorize the question of duration in Rancière’s educational thought.
