Summary/Abstract: Cooperating with Kraków Branch of the Polish Society for Combating Disabilities Foundationfor MS Patients leads, as a public benefit organization, a comprehensive care of patients andsupports their families. Effective helping mentees by care-givers and the institution depends to the high degree on their engagement, all the more none of the parties does not have a ready method of action, but that method is worked out by them. The implementation resulting from the statutory foundation of care in MS and adaptation those patients to function independently constitutethe innovation process. Its essence is the adoption of MS patients, even with high disability,for optimal independence and professional life through rehabilitation and revalidationactivities and enabling their families and the patients functioning independently to help others inneed. The forms of innovative activities of the Foundation and appointed by it Centre for Rehabilitationand Care in Wola Batorska are rotating 2-3-week care for patients at the Centre ofvarying degrees of disability, physical, social and professional rehabilitation, cooperation with the authorities’ environments, local communities, universities, businesses and international organizations and publishing and educational activities in the field of medicine, psychology, rehabilitation and social affairs. Services offered include, in addition help support group for newlydiagnosed individuals and their families with learning the basics of rehabilitation and care. The Foundation’s activities fit into the definition of innovation contained in the Oslo Manual.
