Summary/Abstract: Securing energy resources for the Slovak Republic, especially fossil fuels, requires closer analyses of the current state as well as the future developments of this economically and politically crucial issue. The reviewed publication of the authors – analysts of the University of Economics in Prague under the editorial leadership of Milan Vošta – deals with the issue of ensuring continuous and secure energy resources supply with an emphasis on fossil fuels in the global perspective especially in the European area. It represents a substantive and methodological contribution as well as an inspiration for further analyses.
