Summary/Abstract: The article presents the state of play of post-election Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the elections in October 2014 it became clear that voters have again opted for a stronger nationalist government, which means that each of the constituent peoples voted for one of their ethnic representatives. A slight exception concerns the Serb candidate for presidency – supposedly more moderate than his predecessor. After the protests in February 2014, changes were expected, however, without visible results so far. For a closer insight, current publications and online-blogs were analysed in this article, students from Banja Luka were asked for their opinion and finally an interview was held with university professor Zlatiborka Popov-Momčinović, professor of political theory at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of East Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina is still primarily characterized by stagnation and many essential factors have so far been identified – unfortunately though without any reasonable advice on how to tackle these problems. Notwithstanding, there also seems to be a neglected factor further contributing to the state’s disastrous situation: namely its diaspora.
