Summary/Abstract: The article addresses two problems of world economy in 2015. The first one isthe overall economic situation, which is rather unsatisfactory due to lower growthrate in the countries referred to as ‘market economies’, especially China. The economyof the United States was in the best condition in this respect; owing to the decreasein oil prices, American consumers could increase their spending on consumergoods, and industrial production was high.As regards structural problems, the most severe one among them was the slowgrowth of international trade compared to global product. As this does not stimulategrowth, it is an example of regression, a sign of an anti-globalization tendency.Another phenomenon, a positive one this time, was the emergence of discourse ofthe fourth industrial revolution. It marks the beginning of a new developmental tendency, which has been giving rise to considerable expectations with regard to solvingthe structural problems of world economy in the coming years and decades.
