Summary/Abstract: The article presents the structure of the political organization called the Bulgarian Central Charity Society (BCCS), which worked in Romania in the period 1876–1877. It provides information on 16 branches of the organization - Bulgarian charity societies (BCS) in Alexandria, Bolgrad, Braila, Buzau, Galati, Giurgiu, Izmail, Calarasi, Craiova Oltenitsa, Ploiesti,Sinaia, Slatina, Turnu Magureli, Turnu Severin, Targovishte. The author seeks information on the composition, organizational structures and seals of various societies in the archival documents in Bulgarian Historical Archive – National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, State Military Archive – Veliko Tarnovo and Scientific Archive of the Institute for Historical Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and publications in Bulgarian periodicals from the time of the National Revival. Some of the activists – participants are presented with a short biographical data. The author attempts to trace the stages of organizational development of BCCS.
