Summary/Abstract: The present paper analyses the trend of venture and development capital of the V4 countries by types and sectors of industry within the period of 2012-2014. The authors point out different ways of funding by this type of capital in particular countries. Venture and development capital is used in each of the analysed countries. However, there are specific investment features relevant to venture and development capital in all the V4 countries. They differ by the amount of financial resources, the number of supported companies, the type of investment and the proportion of investments to particular sectors of industry.
