Summary/Abstract: This text examines different levels on which we can understand the performative function of writing. J.L. Austin’s concept of the performative function of language is concrete and takes into account legal acts. In a broader sense, action can also be defined as the creation of media facts, and even as the use of a given alphabet. Nasiłowska refers to early Polish, Korean and Bulgarian literatures.
