Summary/Abstract: Jean Paul Sartre philosophy belongs to a phenomenology tradition, even though the metaphysical implications we can find. The topic of this paper is the problem of intersubjectivity. My purpose is analyze Sartre's intersubjectivity theory in a phenomenological context. Sartre's emphasis in the Other is he who looks at me made him different from other thinkers. The look of Other at me make me aware of how I become an object in the world. I have self-awareness by reference to the Other. The gaze which Sartre describes is one-side, because if Other looks at me I become an utensil for him/her; and if I look at him/her, he or she becomes an utensil for me. Other's self is inaccessible to me as a glanze is a representation.
