The Vocabulary of the Vitosha Charter

Summary/Abstract: The study is aimed at presenting a new reading of a word in the text of the Vitosha Charter – градаре, so far accepted and explained by the scholars as сердаре. Suggested are also possible interpretations of the term градаре, which on the basis of the words found in the hitherto preserved royal charters, is more generally associated with the verb градити “to build, to construct”.
