Summary/Abstract: In the paper the Author presents the reorientation of Polish policy during the period of fiscal expansion preceding the outbreak of the WWII. He argues that such intense public spending had obviously changed the structure of ownership in the national economy (in particular in production and banking sectors), but economic effect on growth was not sustainable.
