Summary/Abstract: The Second Congress of Development in Education was held on 18-19 November 2015 at Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). It was organized by the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education in collaboration with SGH and the Universities of Economics in Cracow, Katowice, Poznań and Wrocław. It was a gathering of over 160 people who are familiar with development and modernization of Polish education, including the use of innovative technologies in training process. The Congress focused on the role of universities in creating knowledge society and development of academic institutions that could meet the expectations of different target groups. In this context, the issues of lifelong learning and non-formal education were raised. Also, the challenges of the future education, especially in regard to higher education, were discussed.
