Summary/Abstract: The article presents two multidimensional scaling methods which can be used in the analysis of changes in consumer preferences. The first one is the dynamic scaling which uses in its construction the Procrustes analysis. The second one, the drift vector method, enables to present simultaneously on the perceptual map both the configuration of points representing the analyzed objects and the vectors indicating the direction and the strength of changes in the respondents’ preferences. The presentation of the methods is illustrated by an empirical example in which calculations were performed with use of SPSS and New-MDSX packages.
