Summary/Abstract: The Dublin Regulation has collapsed. We must try to preserve the freedom of movement within Europe – one of the great achievements of my generation – by recasting Europe on the foundation of fairness and mutual respect instead of hypocrisy. My message to the Chancellor is that Germany will remain my chosen country whether or not she likes my views on the subject, just as Hungary will remain mine forever.
