Summary/Abstract: Yani Milchakov is Professor, literary theorist and historian, scholar in Bulgarian,Slavonic and Balkan studies. He holds a PhD from Jagellon University in Krakow,Poland (1990). He teaches at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies- Sofia, Shumen University and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.Yani Milchakov is the author of the books Verse and Poetry (1990, in Bulg.), Sociology of Literature, Language and Politics (2001, in Bulg.), Bulgarian Poetic Culture 17th-20th Centuries (2006, in Bulg.), Social Fields of Literature (2009; in Bulg.) The Paraliterature: Sociology, Textology, Mediators (co-authored, 2009; in Bulg.) аs well as of many other publications in these academic areas. Bulgarian Ambassador in Poland (1992-1996), Slovakia (1998 2001), Serbia and Montenegro (2001-2005).
