Summary/Abstract: The article describes the Polish families in light of demographic characteristics and trends of major demographic phenomena observed between 2000 and 2014. In the first section the author presents selected data on vital statistics, including marriages, separations, divorces, births. The second part focuses on the crucial data on the size and structure of households and families. The brief examination of this question is conducted of the basis of Population and Housing Census 2011.
