Export of high tech in the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The paper is focused mainly on a sheet of high-tech export of the member countries in the European Union which is based on OECD STAN Bilateral Trade Database. Just a few countries create over 50% of the export: Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The analysis shows the high-tech export volume in the context of a trade agreement between the European Union and the United States and an introduction to further considerations about the effects of such an agreement on the high-tech trade in the European Union.
