Summary/Abstract: The paper reviews, identifies and briefly describes three of the major armed conflicts(wars). Particular attention is paid to the conflicts in Ukraine: the Russianmilitary intervention, the role of armed forces in annexation of Crimea; the war inEastern Ukraine.The author also briefly discusses two “wars with the Taliban” – in Afghanistanand in Pakistan.
