Summary/Abstract: The paper has a material character and presents the history of the Catholic Church in the Głubczyce district in the last months of the Second World War. It concentrates on two threads: the presentation of the tragic fate of the clergy, mainly the nuns, who experienced beatings, rapes and killings by the Soviet soldiers, and the material damage and the nature of the churches in the area. Until 1945, the area belonged in its most part to the Archdiocese of Olomouc and to the Archdiocese of Wroclaw in the minority. Since September 1945 it was incorporated into the Apostolic Administration the Opole Silesia
