Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the emergence and development of ethnological knowledge in Russia since the last decades of 19th to the end of the 1920s. The Development of Ethnology in Russia is considered in the context of the overall development process of world science. The author pays special attention to the reception of different schools of Western Ethnology of the Russian science.
