Summary/Abstract: The permanent contract of employment stays the most important type of individual labour contract. The new requests on the labour market have imposed regulation of new contracts of employment forms: fixed-term contract, temporary agency worker or part-time work. Even if these new types of contracts were determined by the requirements of the global market economy, through them there are protected the employees and their social needs, which are the result of weighting between family needs and job requirements. The European Union responds to these social and economic needs through a secondary legislation, implemented by MS through a national execution measures.
