Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes justifiability of founding the Center for journalism studies which later became the Study of journalism. It especially enquires the value of this study for the parent Faculty, media scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its value for the Croatian people. Later on the paper follows development of the Study of Journalism through its study programmes. The paper analyzes significance of media for the society and especially significance of the Study of Journalism for the Croatian media space in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
