Summary/Abstract: In the academic year of 2005/2006, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education accepted the Sarajevo University guidelines on reform processes related to implementation of the Bologna Declaration. After four years of experience in organization and realization of curricula in accordance with the Bologna declaration implementation, the Faculty is able to present all its strengths, weaknesses, possibilities and dangers. The strength of the Faculty is primarily seen in openness towards the new technologies and a wide spectrum of departments offered, as well as in the fact that the Faculty is well-equipped in the sense of information technology. Also, there is a growing interest of students to more actively participate in the education process and management at the Faculty. Most of the employees are ready and capable to realize the strategic goals… Weaknesses are: problems which arose as consequences of the post-war situation in the country and in the region, small market, nonexistence of the return information from the relevant institutions related to the issue of planning… Possibilities are: the expected acceleration of economic development, better mobility of teaching personnel and students, Faculty’s readiness to adjust to the current changes in the sector of education and science, high percentage of the high school students interested in studying at the Faculty, bigger number of employees in the sector of sport for life-long learning. Dangers are seen in: nonexistence of a state/cantonal strategy as a frame for development of higher education and scientific research, low efficiency of our national economy, low budget incomes in the sector of education and science, disproportion of the number of students in relation to the market demands, formation of the new faculties.
