Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the term concerning europeisms in modern linguistics and the usage of eurolexemes in Lithuanian media, referring to the newspaper “Lietuvos rytas” NR. 249 ( 2002. 10.26). The aim of this investigation was to show the integration of europeisms into the Lithuanian language. Historical, cultural and social factors were not investigated. Before analysing the integration of europeisms we have to consider the terminological and methodological basis of investigation. Europeism in the Lithuanian language is compared with europeisms in the German English, Russian and Ukrainian languages. Statistic data is presented and the classification of europeisms is illustrated by giving examples. The domain of these scientific investigations is fairly new; therefore it determines the importance of this issue.
