Effectiveness evaluation of co-financedeuropean union funds investment on the example of sewage treatment plant and sewage systemin Kłomnice community

Summary/Abstract: Communities compete for external funding investment, particularly from non-repayable sources. In order to obtain financing it is necessary to develop feasibility studies demonstrating the high effectiveness of the planned investment. The present study attempts to show how to evaluate the effectiveness and when it is possible to consider an infrastructure project as effective. The paper has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part includes a reference to evaluate the effectiveness of municipal infrastructure investments whereas the empirical part is devoted to the analysis of the case study and relies on an examination of the feasibility study prepared for the construction of sewage treatment plant and sewerage system in Kłomnice community in 2009-2012.
