Summary/Abstract: The present context allows the completion of information regarding the history of Romanian sociology, including a more detailed approach of the Sociological School of Bucharest, in order to better understand the background in which the School evolved and sociology as science was institutionalized in Romania, in the first half of the 20th century. A special role in this dynamic is represented by the publication of some supplementary documentary resources, and I refer here to the correspondence of Anton Golopenţia. Therefore, this study aims to value these sources to analyze the relation between Anton Golopenţia and the Professor Dimitrie Gusti. I suggest a chronological approach, depending on the evolution of the professional career of Golopenţia, focusing on the manner in which the relation between teacher and student emerged and developed in time. The main argument for this study is that the relation between the two – Golopenţia and Gusti – developed in close connection with the functioning of the Sociological School of Bucharest. This study brings forth new details and information regarding the institutionalization of sociology as a discipline in the interwar period until the end of the Second World War.
