Summary/Abstract: In conclusion, we can establish that in Slovenia after 2005, all state bodies (government, ministries, in part, inspectorates, agencies, funds, administrative units, regional units of government authorities, social welfare centers), including the legislative branch areas (RSNA), local governments (municipalities and city municipalities), and most of the legal and natural persons, who on the basis of a public function perform administrative tasks (for example: an ombudsman, the commissioner for information of public importance, etc.) are continuing centuriesold tradition of classification documents on the basis of the statutory framework and unique plans classifications. The biggest problem are the constant organizational changes to public administration, which during the liquidation, mergers and other status changes of government and other regulatory authorities, require a change of classification plans, and as a result is an update of guidelines for the selection of archival material relevant archives. Almost nine-year practice of preparing classification plans for companies in the economy, higher education, science, social protection, health, culture and education, showed that wrong, that is, unsuccessful persistence Ministry of Public Administration and other ministries in the mandatory framework of Regulation on administrative business, although it is evident that the legal persons performing expert tasks on the basis of sectoral regulations and legislation. The Ministry of Health and other ministries should be in the preparation of uniform classification plans (schemes) are monitored and are based on the international standard ISO 15489 and the European Commission’s recommendation MoReq. Such unique classification plans would be optional certainly useful, welcome also to legal persons special rights to all these areas, if you already have made their own plans for classification based on the model of classification of documents with the retention period for companies and institutions.
