Summary/Abstract: In June, 1862, 1200 Hungarians travelled from Buda to Trieste by train. Their four-day pleasure trip has become an actual media phenomenon. Contemporary newspapers called the attention of their readers to the event, and after their return also reported extensively about the adventures of the travellers.
