E-CONTENT FOR A PILOT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN FLOOD RELATED EVENTS PROTECTION

Summary/Abstract: Romania is confronted with natural disasters, such as floods, forest fires, blizzards, storms, earthquakes, landslides, snow falls, drought, heat waves. In this context, it is important that the authorities have appropriate tools to ensure an efficient crisis management. The development of a pilot e-learning project based on different hazards scenarios simulations would be very useful in informing and training the population for this kind of situations. This paper intends to present the requirements in terms of the educational content that has to be generated for a pilot system developed in order to simulate scenarios in case of floods, in the framework of an ongoing national project. All the hazards named above could be inserted in such a system, taking into account the geographic position, the temporal and spatial extent, the population groups concerned and we analyze here the way that the information needed could be synthesize in scenarios.
