Summary/Abstract: Modern trends in the development of the global insurance market, which are expressed in its globalization, in the separate (by branches) practice of insurance and in the integrated offering of financial services, create prerequisites for the merging of insurance companies withn insurance groups. Organizational principles of insurance groups are different, but most often the group is formed as a holding. Via the formation of an insurance group, the financial potential of the companies included within it increases, while their security is also increased.
