Summary/Abstract: The main issue of this work is that of observing the credibilicy of oral sources, how true or false they might be and which criteria (if there are any) are necessary to consider inorder to decide if the witness is telling the truth or not. Thus, considering Grice's conversational theories, especially the one on qualicy, and using 55 interviews we tried to find out whether enunciation adverbs, syntagma, expressions such as: "really", "I tell you the truth", "I give you my word", "to be honest", "honestly", "honestly speaking'' etc. give or try to underline the credibility of a statement.
