Summary/Abstract: Having various appearing and development forms from an area to another one, from a country to another one, the tourism is noted as a phenomenon of our century which became one of the most important social phenomena, having great influence over the economy. In the Southern Carpathians, there is an old gate of intense traffic, between Wallachia and Transylvania. It is the Rucăr-Bran Couloir, a unique and original region, of an exciting harmony and beauty. The natural framework, of an unequal picturesqueness, historical monuments, Carpathians civilization vestiges, intensified by the impressive contemporary achievements, the favorable geographical position, particular accessibility represent a valuable touristic patrimony. This area, thanks to its physical aspect, offered the most favorable conditions to be inhabited, to become human.
