Summary/Abstract: The article is prompted by the publication of the expedition materials of B. M. and Yu. M. Sokolovs “Following the Trail of Ribnikov and Gil’ferding”. Expedition materials contain intact layers of texts full of facts significant for folklore studies. New evidences about the work and contribution of the already well-known teacher and collector of folklore heritage for children E. V. Rzhanovskaya speak about her as a competent and active participant of the expedition.
