Summary/Abstract: Slavko Kopac was born on August 21, 1913 in Vinkovci, where he went to primary and secondary school. Here too he received his first lessons in painting, from the painter Vinko Pajalic. Between 1933 and 1937, he was a student of the Royal Art Academy in Zagreb, attending the class of Vladimir Becic. Here he met long term friends and fellow artists Zoran Music, Mladen Ve'a and Bojan Stupica.
