Summary/Abstract: Transition process as a major cocial changes in the countries of the former Yugoslavia was carried out in line with the conflict between traditionalism and modernism. Intellectual involvement of individuals in one of the two competing segments ranged from supporting government structures, and very different political profiling, to those who are have a critical approach to social events and efforts in terms of transitional dismissal highlighting a new vision of future possibilities and limits of social structure. In transformed social reality dominated by “traditional intellectualism” transition is characterized by the manifest conflict the specifics of collapsing, while the environmentin which overcome the modernist intellectual efforts manifest new social development. After intellectuals who were active during the transition period on the principles of knowledge and conscience, or moral and intellectual integrity, and who were in the minority, there were some individuals who had pretended to be called names mentioned and who betrayed their part. Their action in the transition period is in deep contradiction with the previously created “universal values”.Entering the realm of politics gone too far it is from intellectual existing.
