Summary/Abstract: The hypothesis of formation of the post-soviet authoritarianism nominated by foreign scholars has been considered. The features of the regulation of certain elements of the model of checks and balances in the constitution of the former Soviet Union have been clarified. The influence of the violation of the dynamic balance of the system of checks and balances in the "managed democracy" regime of post-soviet countries has been determined.
