Summary/Abstract: Regional integration of the Western Balkans countries is important for multiple reasons, not only the economic ones. It is a fact that most of the countries in the Stabilisation and Association Process will not get full EU membership. Because of that, connecting their economies might have a positive influence on rapid economic development. Regional integration processes are also important for attracting foreign investors. We should bear in mind that regional cooperation of the Western Balkans countries is one of the formal requirements for improving the relations of these countries with the EU, and that initiatives in this area might accelerate the process of admission.
