Summary/Abstract: Rights and obligations of institutions participating in the education process in the higher education have continued to develop a quality assurance system to ensure a high level of quality and achieve the goals of higher education activities ensuring the maintenance of quality in education in accordance with defined academic standards. The ultimate goal of ensuring quality education is inclusion of BiH into the European Higher Education Area, whose proclaimed goal of signatories of the Declaration of European Ministers of Higher Education from Bologna (1999). Accreditation of educational institution, as a formal certificate of compliance with criteria set by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality of BiH, requires developing awareness of all participants in the process of education about their liability for quality improvement and assurance. Quality assurance system covers the entire institution, its goals, plans, activities and results. To make the system more efficient, received information are used as input in the decision making process when taking the corrective measures for quality improvement and assurance. The Quality Assurance Committee of the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo noted that all participants involved in the process of education are not equally informed nor have equal awareness of their responsibilities within the quality assurance process. Accordingly, the Committee has planned and carried out a series of activities to increase awareness of responsibilities of all participants in the educational process. Seminars for target groups (students, teachers, assistants, administrative and technical staff), development of educational materials and motivational - orientation manual, aim to involve all stakeholders in the process of quality assurance.
