Summary/Abstract: The adaptation of Polish enterprises to market conditions relies heavily on changing a product-market strategy. Dynamic and increasingly unpredictable changes in the environment of the organization necessitate frequent changes in strategy and strong pressure on the use of business management methods to enable rapid implementation of strategic objectives. Increasing customer requirements and strategic alliances which are popular now lead to the development of the make-to-order production in which the key task is to build strategic flexibility. The article proposes the concept of a new model of Control System Strategy which allows key assumptions of the company’s strategy much faster and more effectively to be implemented through the introduction of checking the most important goals to the process of strategic planning and verification of production orders. The model is dedicated to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies which use only make-to-order production. The proposed solution helps to build strategic flexibility into this type of enterprises.
